Anniversaries are specially marked days celebrated once a year. So how does one celebrate an arbitrary number of weekly special days. The special day is of course our very own Thursday Walk. Today is the 200th straight Thursday that we've encouraged the Tribe to take a walk on Thursday, camera in hand, and document their surroundings via this Flickr group and this specific project. Why is the number 200 any more special than say, 104, the day that marked the end of two years of walks? In fact, walk number 208 will mark 4 years of this gig. Maybe, we humans have this fondness for order and multiplicity of decimal values. I'm sure if we had 7 fingers, number 49 might be special.
