Along the River Limmat

I was invited to the birthday lunch of my Godchild who turned 30 today. We sat enjoying the river view, sipping Champagne, on this glorious Thursday.

Geography lesson: The Limmat River gets its water from Lake of Zürich. From the lake, it flows westwards through the city center, by the main railway station and then past the National Museum to where it joins up with the River Sihl.

Going North, the Limmat flows into the Aare River, which flows into the Rhine at Waldshut, and finally reaches its destination in the North Sea near Rotterdam..
