Walking along Niles Creek area

Beckett Gladney

I admit it; I keep taking pictures along this walk because it reminds me so strongly of the sorts of landscapes that Maxfield Parrish used to paint, and the colors remind me of those blues and purple he used so often in his color palette. And I just really like the shapes of everything. And the colors. And the mostly dry creekbed that forms a big flat open space where you'd expect water to be but it never is. Sort of indicative of California being a pretty dry place, really. I guess overall this landscape just strikes me as a great representation of northern California. And I just like it. So I keep taking pictures of it.
