On this day in 1894, the first ever Stanley Cup championship final game was played between Amateur Hockey Association of Canada teams, wit the Montreal Hockey Club defeating the Ottawa Hockey Club. Now, back in those days hockey ended as spring arrived. Now that spring has arrived we will be entering the "Second Season" of the National Hockey League, the Stanley Cup Championship, in a couple of weeks.
