And, yesterday the National Hockey League commenced its centennial season and the poor hapless Toronto Maple Leafs kicked off their 100th campaign as a franchise. And what a start. Their first round pick (number 1 overall), Auston Matthews, scored 4 goals in his NHL debut. No player has ever done that in the modern era. You'd have to go back to 1917 for that to have happened in this league. So I was one to commemorate on this Thursday Walk.
