Waste Management is a big problem in the Middle East. There are a lot of countries trying to come to grips with new wealth and consumerism. Now, most stuff just gets dumped, formally or informally. There are moves for recycling in the gulf, but they are a long way off. 'Who needs to recycle when you can afford to just make another one?'
