The funky colour balance is in camera, but with the hot mirror replaced by a watch crystal as part of the infrared conversion. The camera was hand held resting on the curved surface of a recycling bin.
For my walk for the day I went to Toronto General to let someone experiment on me in the NMI imaging Lab. I was hoping that I could take shots of equipment but no such luck as it turns out you have to get prior approval from hospital media publications such and such department.
For my trouble I had to lie prone for an hour in this giant buzzing tube and move my wrist back and forth a whole inch or two while constrained and wearing oh so stylish hospital pyjamas bottoms otherwise the zipper in my jeans might of heated up and burn my private parts.
