The Salton Sea is a California enigma. Huge in scope at over 600 square miles, this enormous inland sea is at once inspiring in its natural beauty, yet terrible in its evidence of human neglect and ruin. Its siren song attracts photographers to its desolate decaying shores in droves to capture impressions of both its grandeur and its decay. This vast desert lake transformed me as a photographer. It changed the way I see.
