I googled the lighthouse one day, to see what other, more experienced photographers had done. I admired one photograph that included the lighthouse and a number of rocks in the water, and set out one morning to see if I could find the perspective the photographer had used. I decided that he must have hauled his valuable equipment way out on the rocks to the right of this picture, in order to capture that particular view. Given the slipperiness of the seaweed and such on the rocks, I decided he was much braver (and probably much younger) than I. I'll have to make do with this much less dramatic variation.
