I have come to photography late in life, and I am surprised and delighted with the deep pleasure it gives me. I go out to shoot with excitement and upload the pictures to my computer with great anticipation. I love practicing such timeworn techniques as the rule of thirds and mastering some flashy new way to jazz up a picture in Photoshop. I know I have much to learn and that it will be a while (if ever) before I can run with the big dogs, but that's not why I do it. I do it for myself, and that is enough. And wherever my travels may take me, my lighthouse will continue to be my best and favorite subject.
