Just off Chinatown in San Francisco, we pass a shop that does gelato and those tapioca pearl drinks. I abruptly realize that I have never had one of those tapioca pearl drinks, so in we go.

They're hysterically funny and mighty scary. Durian is probably not the correct flavor for a beginner. "Durian?" says the girl at the counter, with one of those "surely you don't mean that" looks. I can't finish it, in the end, but every time I take a sip I laugh out loud. I'm also mighty impressed that they shrink-wrap your cup right after mixing the drink.

I tried to get Seth to sit on this couch for a picture, but he wasn't hearing of it - so I set it up and did the deed, and he shot the shot.
