My first "taste" of Qatari culture! Since there is no alcohol allowed into this country (they scan your bags at customs) and you can only purchase it with a permit or in fancy hotels, the people have resorted to furnishing their watering holes with fancy juice drinks. My friend Katrien took me to the Mandarin Restaurant for a salad and some french fries, and one of these babies, just hours after I got off the plane. I can still taste the sweet juice. Yum!
