Gibsons on New Year's Eve

Gibsons in the evening. As drunk by Cary Grant in North by Northwest and you can't get much cooler than that !! Is there a better way to bring in the New Year?
1 1/2 oz Gin, 3/4 oz Vermouth and 2 cocktail onions. Stir the gin and vermouth over ice cubes, strain into a cocktail glass. Add the onions and serve.
