I have been a keen photographer since I got my first camera aged around 10. Many of my early photos are better forgotten though. I have never had any formal training in photography and am entirely self taught mainly from books.
I live with my husband and three sons in Dunedin in New Zealand's South Island.
I have always had an interest in photography but in the past couple of years have decided to take it more seriously and in my photos I think I have finally found a way of expressing myself.
I haven’t yet settled into any particular field but am enjoying taking photos of a fairly broad range of subjects. Much of my work is usually created without a preconceived theme, the exception is with my still-life photos, which are often created around a single object or phrase.. My main aim with my photos is to create something that is pleasing to my eyes using available light and a good composition.
If asked to sum up my photography in one word, “gentle” would be the one I would use.
