Raised under the endless skies of Oklahoma, Caroline Cohenour now aims her lens at the intricate details of Los Angeles. Most of her photographs document both the abstract and the minimal nature of urban life: defiant dandelions, lonely lamps, and maverick messages of street artists found in alleyways. She is inspired by the the color and texture of forgotten street corners which themselves act as a testament to her belief that beauty can be found all around us.
Caroline's published work on Flickr commanded her first book cover with THE PHILOSOPHY OF LIVING (Shumpusha Publishing) and simultaneously gave her the sign she needed to get out of office life. She has since shot headshots for film executive write-ups in THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER and VARIETY and is currently preparing a series of portraits as she captures every single corner of Los Angeles.
