Artist's Statement

Of the many creative outlets I have tried over the years, photography is the one medium in which I feel that I can bring the images and ideas in my head to reality. My work tends toward the outdoors, as nature is always changing and each photo records a moment that will most likely never happen again in quite the same way.

I try to see my subjects in a different light and particularly enjoy giving an appearance of life to otherwise lifeless objects such as tree stumps and drift wood. I hope to pass that vision to those who view my photos and show the hidden beauty of the ordinary.
