Tim Mitchard

I've been taking pictures for around 20 years. For the past three years I've been to college to study creative black and white photography. This covered all aspects from shooting to printing and developing. Part of the fine art unit is my bus stop set. This was a study of people at the same bus stop outside my office over a year.

I'm still shooting film but have moved over in part to digital. I've also been expermenting with a LoMo L-CA and cross processing lately.

Artist's Statement

I have been taking pictures for the last 20 years. My work is mainly in black and white, whether thats digital or film.

The pictures I take are of things that interest me in life. These range from people through to empty decaying buildings. I like to experiment to try and give my final image an edgy feel. When I am taking my pictures I will already have an idea of how the picture will turn out, althrough its doesn't always work.

My colour work is mainly limited to the Lomo LC-A. With this great Russian camera I shoot slide film and then when the film is developed cross-process it as negative film. This gives some outstanding colour shifts.
