Artist's Statement

Even as a child, I've been interested in the past. I'd say to my mother, "I wish I'd been born in the 50s..." and other such statements. Today, my photography leans toward the vintage, the weathered, and the retro. I like to photograph these places and items as they are, but imagine how they once were. I also feel that as a North Dakota resident, I need to share this often beautiful, yet underpopulated, relatively rural area with those in other regions of the U.S. and the world.
