Andreas Gorschak

Photography has been magic for me since I started to think. Actually it was in my early childhood that my father took me to the darkroom and showed me how the image appears in the developper bath.

Seeing is an activity of the mind. With photography I can give this mental process a material shape. Through my image collection I hope to explore the "gestalt" of my visual mind. Therefore photography is an act of communication. To me and through Utata to others.

Like any other form of communication it is inherently and inevitably a way of self-expression. By accepting this inherent relationship, I try to pursue photography as a form of art.
