I am kind of new to semi-serious photography (I hope to keep growing at this!). Most of my work focuses on myself and my immediate surroundings. You will not find amazing shots of rare flowers and bald eagles. It's not that I am egocentric, I just happen to be a work-at-home mom, and my personal surroundings are rather mundane; hence, I photograph myself and what is around me hopefully in a manner that's interesting.

I used to work with a dinky point-and-shoot, but the kindness of Flickr Friends have helped me purchase a new camera by pitching in $500. I now use a Fuji S6000fd, and I love it because it's opening up a whole new world for me.
