Srinivasan and Varsha

Nameet Potnis

A part of my first photo essay on the Shrines of "Chembur" (The place where I live).

For twelve days the Lord is taken in a procession, with the festivities being so grand, that i was amazed at how we require just small excuses to celebrate and spread so much joy..

My project involves capturing temples through its people, in a way I am trying to portray an Era gone by through the local age old temples and its people!

This picture was shot at 8 p.m outside Ahobila Mutt a 45 year-old South Indian temple
