Speaks is the result of a very long discussion on the Utata forum which basically amounted to "what should we do for summer vacation?" We had many great suggestions and ideas, but the common thread that we found throughout most of them was that they had a narrative element. People wanted to connect the eye and the ear. Utata, as it turned out, wanted to speak.
Aldous Huxley called the essay "a literary device for saying almost everything about almost anything." Utatans rose to the impressive challenge of creating a one to six page essay of either a Nature, Social or Personal theme.
It's not surprising that the things about which we have the most to say are the things we encounter most often in our daily life; the world around us, the beings we share that world with, and the things in which we believe.
In this spirit, with great enthusiasm, we are pleased to present Utata Speaks.
Participating in this Utata project is simple! You need to do/have the following three things and then all you have to do is tag your photos utataspeaks (read about other tagging options) and you're all set! Have fun!
