At a beach on the Pacific Coast of Baja California, I found a tiny, whole, dead crab. I thought it was really cool, so I picked it up. Before long, I found another and another. The beach was littered with baby crab carcasses. I took a few home figuring they'd feature in some cool art project someday. Spurred to action by the Utata still life project, I dug up the box they were hidden in and photographed them having their revenge on their ancestral homeland.
