Photographic disclosure: I set these two leaves atop a tall (thin) cylindrical vase to set them about a foot above the piled leaves below. This distance created the DOF I wanted which allowed the leaves appear to be floating in space while sharpening their detail in comparison to the blure background...fun with fall.
