In the Utata group the other day, Greg wrote: Thirty weeks ago one of our Utata members issued the following invitation:
I'm going for a walk tomorrow. I really am and no one can stop me - not even me! Anyone care to join me? I'll be home before noon and will post one (my most favorite) shot that I take on this walking photo exploration! Who's in?
And that was it. We were ALL in. That was the beginning of the Thursday Walk series.
This has to be one of my favorite projects. It's so accessible, so easy to do, so broad in scope. And it was entirely spontaneous. True, the original concept has changed a tad. People no longer only post their best photo of the walk, for example, but the essential spirit remains and for the most part, the quality of the photos remains surprisingly high. And we sometimes include photos from late Wednesday night through Friday afternoon...but those are details. The important thing is that for a LOT of people, we've made Thursdays something to look forward to.
How weird is that? How wonderful is that?
And so, we continue the tradition this week with Utata's Thursday Walk #31. Enjoy!
Participating in this Utata project is simple! You need to do/have the following three things and then all you have to do is tag your photos utatathursdaywalk31 (read about other tagging options) and you're all set! Have fun!
