Butter and Eggs

This is a stem and seed pods of the wild flower Butter and Eggs (Linaria vulgaris) which really should be covered in snow at this time of year. We've no snow at all right now and temperatures are predicted to be above freezing during the day for at least the next 6 days. Oh yes, we are in southern Ontario, Canada.
