So, how'd I light it? Well its kinda down and dirty and very low tech. I took an aluminum brownie tray. punctured 20 holes in the bottom in a fairly uniform pattern then thread Xmas lights through it. Turned the lights on then assembled the balls to hide the lights. I originally posted this photo in an non-cropped version. But because the tray wasn't square no matter which way I tried to straighten it, one side always looked crooked and I found it to be distracting. So I cropped it down to eliminate the negative space and the tray. Now it kinda reminds me of some Chihuly stuff.
