UTATA Up In The Air

This series of photos is the direct result of a project idea put forth by Catherine Jamieson of the UTATA group on Flickr.

Today, I had a little help from my friends (Sherlock77 and Buglugs) in throwing a few things around the studio, in an effort to capture images for this project.

I felt a bit like a scientist, having to figure out exactly how to capture, and best show these colourful 'things".

Throwing Mega Blocks was one thing, but when it came to tossing gumballs all over the place, well, I wasn't too crazy about the idea of having to chase them all over the floor, for each subsequent tossing. Barry (Buglugs) came up with the brilliant idea of using a laundry basket. I thought of the towels to dampen the rebound effect. Fearless James (Sherlock77) took on the daunting task of climbing the ladder, and pouring out the contents, time after time. Thank you both for your dedicated efforts in making this project a success and lots of fun to do.
