First Butterfly

This being the begining of my second year living with the flowers, trees, birds and bees, I am catching onto the changes that each week brings. The garden is full of butterflies and coreopsis and daisies are threatening to take over! A note to the seasons group: the things that happen in our garden are pretty anomalous because we live in an a heavily wooded area and we are limited in our use of water from the county but our property has 3 springs on it and about 15 years ago most of the trees on the hillside were cut down to make a stepped garden. So, between the generally good growing conditions in our temperate climate we have more sun and tons more water than anyone around.!
