Mummy rescues baby
Mummy was just about to send Puppy off to see if he could find someone to help, when Baby gently moved his arms. And then he said, in a quiet whisper, “Mummy, help me! It’s hurting me.”
Mummy reached forward and took hold of the heavy wooden block that had landed on top of Baby. It was ever so heavy, and Puppy didn’t think that Mummy would be able to move it by herself. But, with a huge effort, inch by inch she lifted the block. Once or twice she almost lost her hold, and the block nearly slipped and fell on Baby again. After what seemed a very long time, but was probably only a few seconds, she was able to lift it onto its end, and topple it over away from Baby.
"Thank you, Mummy," Baby said, as he gave her a little smile to let her know that he didn't think he was badly hurt.
