White Balloon

At a bus stop after the parade. I don't know if she lives on the street. I do know that I see her at bus stops and on benches along the sidewalks. She walks with crutches. She sometimes asks for money in the quietest voice; so quiet that you wonder if the sound has drifted to you on the breeze. As if you just imagined the words.
