Linda Plaisted is a painter and mixed media artist who has exhibited her work in galleries and museums throughout North America. She is also a writer and arts educator, teaching high school and college students to mind their P's, Q's and arts. She has served as artist-in-residence in several Washington, DC area school districts, with a focus on integrating the arts into the curriculum. She received her first Brownie camera from her grandfather at the age of eight and went on to study photography and the wearing of all black in art school. She received a National Endowment for the Arts grant for her documentary photographic series on master folk and traditional artists. She has fallen in love with the camera all over again since she got her new digital gear, and quite possibly regained her mojo.
