Linus Gelber is a native New Yorker and the eldest son of a painter and an attorney. He appreciates the nuances of a good mixed message. When he is not at the desk of a Day Job - and sometimes when he is - he writes poetry and prose, acts, and takes pictures.

By the time he received his diploma from Harvard, Linus had worked as a reporter, lived abroad, hitchhiked coast-to-coast, and been arrested in protest politics. He probably hasn't had as much fun since, though he has tried in Berlin, London, Paris, Roma, Pietrasanta, Boston, and Dallas.

In 1996 Linus founded an independent record label, Home Office Records. His pictures have appeared in print media and on the Net, as well as in Catherine Jamieson's books on digital photography. His blog, Pepper of the Earth, has been more and less active since late 2003.

Linus is currently at work on a novel. If he were a candy, he would be SweeTarts. He would not be Wax Lips. No way. Never got that at all.
