If all the world is a stage, then we shouldn’t be surprised that some of the actors are more theatrical. It’s as if the gods reach out and touch the brow of certain fortunate individuals, and confer on them the inestimable gift of unconscious grace and self-assuredness. If you’ve been touched, you don’t need to choreograph a dance; you just dance. You don’t need to carry a tune; you just sing. You don’t need to pretend to be a peacock; you just become the peacock.

All the acting lessons in the world wouldn’t be enough to teach a person how to achieve that insouciant turn of shoulder or that capricous tilt of the head.
