…on a banco…

Where do stories come from? They begin in the head and in the heart. But a story doesn’t truly exist until it’s told, and the telling relies on a less recognized part of the anatomy. A story exists only because somebody plants their bottom in a chair long enough to tell it. The manner of the telling may vary…some stories are spoken, some are written…but they all involve sitting down.

Here we have a story-telling chair. The soft light of the afternoon, the lengthening shadows, the simplicity of the setting all serve to create a mood…one conducive to the telling of stories and of the listening to them. It results in an anticipatory hush.

Shhh. Quiet now. Listen…listen….
