Pay No Mind
Museums of modern art and houses of worship…the only two places where you find that singular combination of reverential quiet, dramatic lighting, and powerful images. It’s a compelling blend that instills a sense of something that exists beyond our ability to comprehend it. We mute our voices, we walk at a more sedate pace, we adopt a deferential bearing and acknowledge the mysteries of creation.
In this house there are many rooms; we move through them with unusual modesty. And when we leave, we feel the better for having been there.
