Serenity

On a fine late summer day, to be out-of-doors is simply a joy. The sky is blue, the weather is warm, and the wind ruffles your hair gently. Close your eyes. Imagine it. Do you feel the breeze? This is all a gift, a gift the world gives freely, and leaves to us to enjoy.
A good photograph captures for the eyes a moment in time. It’s a little picture memory, wrapped up in a rectangular package. A great photograph, though, can touch all of the senses, not just vision: the ears suddenly hear, the nose smells, the skin FEELS the moment, and the viewer can even taste it on his tongue.
A great photograph is a powerful thing, and a great photograph is what we have here. I think it’s surely impossible to look at this photo and not feel the breeze, not close your eyes and be taken to a summer afternoon, wherever you are.
Enjoy the trip.
