I See You
Brandon Robbins

At some point we grow beyond the phase where simple things like hide and seek or peek-a-boo amuse us. We become sophisticated and wary, we lose the gleam in our eyes over striped candies in store windows and we stop running through puddles with joyful abandon. At some point, though the stars will still reflect in our eyes, we stop wishing on them. We go to school and learn the answers to all our “Why …?” questions; we discover that thunder is actually not angels bowling in heaven and that when we close our eyes we do not disappear. Peek-a-boo is never the same after that.

At some point. But not yet.
