Sometimes there are things that can only be seen in the mind…in the mind or through the camera. There is a process by which the ancient Greeks believed images are presented into the mind of a person. That process is called phantasia. It’s the process of imagination and what we imagine are phantasies.
This weird and delightful image is a fantasy. It could only come into existence through the active application of imagination. It had no independent reality until one woman’s mind conceived it, breathed life into it, and brought it into being.
Creation is an act of trust and belief; trust in oneself and belief that fantasies can become real.
