Grounded Flyer

Oh sure, it doesn’t look like much now. Just a rusty old wagon covered with vines. Every day for years and years it hauled people (and the occasional puppy), it hauled things. Up and down hills, over cracked sidewalks, it rolled and bumped along, this wagon, until it didn’t anymore. Then it turned rusty, ended up covered with vines.

But who cares about any of that? This wagon has been places, man. Been things. Yessir, this wagon right here has been a race car. Heck, it’s been the Batmobile. It has been up mountains, it has sailed across oceans. It’s even been to outer space. Helped fight off an alien attack, too. This wagon has been an airplane and it’s been a sailboat. There was even one time it was a horse.

It doesn’t look like much now, sure. Just a rusty old wagon. But it’s been around, traveled far and wide, changed shape a million times. These days, it’s tied to the ground, covered with vines, but there was a time — and it wasn’t even so long ago — this thing could fly.
