As the late, great T.S. Eliot once wrote, “A CAT IS NOT A DOG.”
When you see a photograph like this, of a cat like Jake and a dog like Kerby, it’s easy to see what he meant. Jake stares sharply at the camera, eyes narrowed and ears standing up like knives. He’s perched on a padded chair with all the delicacy of a Fabergé egg. Every whisker, every hair commands the camera: focus!
Kerby…well, Kerby’s in lay-low, nose on paws mode. Slouch-mode. Kerby ain’t the type to sit on chairs and talk to cameras.
Jake is Jake and Kerby is Kerby, and A CAT IS NOT A DOG. Quod Erat Demonstrandum.
