VINCENT: How about dogs? Dogs eat their own feces.
JULES: I don’t eat dog either.
VINCENT: Yes, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal?
JULES: I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy, but they’re definitely dirty. But a dog’s got personality. And personality goes a long way.

It does, yes it surely does. Personality goes a long way. I mean, ’cause look: this is just a couple a dogs, right? One’s yawning, one’s intent, but they’re just a couple a dogs. What they got, though, is they got personality. Bags of personality. We’re talking Tracy and Hepburn levels of personality. We’re talking Kerouac and Cassady. Jules and Vincent. You know what these dogs are? They’re like Fonzie.

JULES: And what’s Fonzie like? C’mon, Yolanda, what’s Fonzie like?
YOLANDA: He’s cool?
JULES: Correct-amundo!

Editorial note: The characters of Jules and Vincent appeared in the film Pulp Fiction, written and directed by Quentin Tarantino, who also wrote and directed Reservoir Dogs. Dogs…get it? Coincidence? You be the judge.
