Summer Fog

He could be a monk enshrouded in a holy light, head bowed meekly in meditation. He could be a spy reading an encrypted communiqué after a rendezvous with a smokey-eyed woman who spoke with an unidentifiable Eastern European accent. He could be a lover, forlorn and feeling rejected after his inamorata failed to arrive at the restaurant.

Alas, he’s probably just a guy texting on his cell phone…almost a form of worship, a secretive style of communication, a sort of techno-love.

But in that light, muted by a post-pyrotechnic haze, anything is possible. And everything that’s possible is true, somewhere.
