This guy, five bucks says he’s never seen the movie. Doesn’t matter; he’s got the attitude. Sure, he may have a job and work regular hours, he may pay his taxes and have satellite TV, he may have been married in a church and he may drive his kids to school, he may even live in the suburbs–but this guy, he’s rebelling against something. Probably the same thing Johnny was.
This guy, let’s face it, he’s not going to be attending any wine-tasting parties. He’s not going to be joining a book club or taking an adult education class that doesn’t involve handling tools. He’s not going to wear a seat belt unless the law makes him, and he’s not interested in discussing investment portfolios. He’s got strong opinions about the right to bear arms and bans on smoking in public places, but he probably won’t be writing his legislator. He’s just not that kind of guy.
Is he really a rebel? Man, I don’t know. But I know this: this guy, he’s rebelling. Against what? Why are you even bothering to ask.
