We are closed in, wrote Yeats. We are closed in, and the key is turned our our uncertainty.

And man, don’t it seem that way sometimes? Don’t it seem sometimes like the entire world is just a narrow, twisting lane at the beginning of a long and uncertain night? Like everything is hunching over us, making us stoop down and look around nervously? Don’t it seem like the road just got all cramped and pinchy when nobody was looking?

But you know what’s cool? The light. There’s always that little bit of light that sneaks in. And if that light can find a way in, you can find a way out. And if you can find a way out, show it to Yeats. Seems like that boy could use some help.
