I worship in the house of the god of windows. I believe what once was broken can yet be repaired. I believe none shall enter in but who is invited. I believe all are invited. I believe in the divinity of glass, may it never shatter. I believe in the sanctuary of the sash and the solace of the sill. I believe what lies inside the window is no different than that which lies without, and that every one born of woman shall know the inside and the out.
Blessed are those who open the window, and those who close it again. Blessed are those who look out, and those who look in. Blessed are the windows, for they are the prayer and the answer to the prayer, the psalm and psalter, the light and the shapes of light.
In the name of the Sill, amen. In the name the Sash and the Pane, amen. For ever and evermore, amen and amen.
