Beginning of an Era

This week, Flickr and Microsoft’s Bing search engine launched a partnership that will interweave geotagged photos from Flickr into the images of real-world locations provided by Bing Maps. According to the official announcement, the new technology uses a set of clever pattern-recognition algorithms to “reunite photos with where they were taken” and “provide context to the data in the ether.”

So wait…you mean, it’ll do something a little like this?
