Stop. Go. Caution.
It’s the Sutra of the Traffic Signal. Three discrete signals, each indicating a distinct state of motion. Together, they cover all the contingencies of life. Stop—do not proceed, halt all motion, cease to move in any direction. Go—do not stay still, advance or retreat, move in some direction—any direction, but go. Caution—proceed slowly, be alert, pay attention, be mindful of what is going on around you.One of those three options will see you successfully through every possible human eventuality
