Orange & Green

It’s story time at Miss Ellicott’s School for Wayward Pumpkins. The kinder-punkins have completed a rousing game of Dodge Ball, and are completely and utterly spent. Dodge Ball for Pumpkins, you see, is played with a balloon, instead of a ball so as to avoid the possibility of any, well, er, accidents of a smashing nature. Chasing a balloon all over a pumpkin patch, and throwing it at one another for thirty minutes straight is hard work and quite a bit of fun, especially on a windy day like today.

Now that the game is over, the pumpkins stretch and yawn, and roll themselves into a semi-circle near the chair where their teacher sits, waiting, book in hand. Once upon a time, she begins. Because it’s story time at Miss Ellicott’s School for Wayward Pumpkins.
