When rubber, water, pressure, speed, and something sharp—the most prosaic of ingredients—come together, still nothing can stop them from creating an entirely new animal. A bird with no head, feathers streaming back towards the sky though no wind is blowing; a rabbit’s foot, perhaps, with fur as white as snow.
